Supreme Commander

Supreme Commander

Both games are freezing
Guys, can anyone help? For me, both SC and SC:SA don't work normally.
The games freeze with every action or sound, I tried different methods, and installed the native dx9, and set the sound to stereo, and I realized that in SC in the Windows version it works normally, but SC:SA still freezes.
Windows 11 system
Ryzen 5 5600 processor
GPU RTX 4070

Just tried SC and SC Forged alliance without issue on similar specs (Windows 11, Ryzen 5 5600G, 1440p 60 hz).

It shouldn't matter but:
have you tried running it on the internal gpu?
have you verified the files?
are you using any mods?

Ran into this too, but i found this
"In the task manager, click the "Details" tab and right click on the game, then select "set affinity". In the Processor affinity window, uncheck all odd numbered CPU's. Leave CPU 0 and all even numbers checked. "
worked for me, seems to indeed be a number-of-cpucores issue

Turning off steam overlay helps... the game does not like having overlays of any type
