What did you already try to solve the issue? It could be related to Stereo/5.1, sampling rate 44100/48000 Hz, HDMI, DirectX or some driver issue.
So the fix(es) worked sometimes, correct?
Before going further you should try this guide to make sure it's not just an initialization issue.
I assume we can fix your issue together, but I need more information.
Please post at least the following information:
Please turn the logs of SC on as I suggested. Within the SC options you may need to switch your "Primary Adapter" to "Windowed" to see the log window titled "Moho Log". Mark the checkbox "Spew" within that window. Within the log lines you should see this:
Please post your log to this thread.
Have also a look at your Windows logs after the sound issue occurred to see if they contain some useful information.
Please also try to disconnect all audio connections from your computer except your speakers connected to analog line out. Important: This also means to connect your monitor using DVI or VGA, because HDMI and DisplayPort include audio.
Restarting again and again won‘t help.
Please try at least my last advice regarding your audio connections. The drivers and software should initialize correctly if there is only one analog audio output connected.
I recommend that you move game to Drive C of your HD that will solve this bug on Steam with this game.
Mine is located on partition D (same drive), but I don't have audio issues. Nevertheless I had starting issues. That's why I wrote my guide Avoiding Crash on Startup (aka error 0xc0000005) on Windows 7 SP1 64-Bit. I've tried mostly everthing including hardlinks because my C (OS) partition is small and full. I already suggested BlahBlah to try the guide.
To anyone in the future google searching this and finding this post, just launch the game once every morning and pray that today is a lucky day like I did.
