Did the Herders die with no replacements?
Do you have a screenshot of your settlement, showing the Pasture, Herder's Home and Water sources nearby?
Do you mean turn off Max Rain Contamination, set to None? You cannot turn of Terrestrial Radiation though.
I think @yayie meant the water source for the Pasture - do you have the Rainwater Collector built?
I turned off rain contamination and I dont have any other radiation contamination.
What does having a rain collector have to do with watering the pastures? I dont use rain collectors much, but I have 3 jetties, tons of wells, several water towers and almost 19,000 water. Water isn't the problem.

my advice is to build some homes nearer to your pastures.. probably a shelter within 20 squares of them and see if that improves their survivability. Remember distance travelled makes the difference.. more so with pastures.
