Report a translation problem
When the later expansions came they came with support for dual screen and widescreen as it was becoming more popular, that's why you don't get the problem in the later expansions.
As far as I know the only way around this is to quickly switch to single display mode before launching the game (Windows + P key lets you cycle quickly through display modes).
EDIT: Sorry, let me be more clear, click in the middle mouse button once the level loads and you're in-game.
