Winter Assault Campaign - Order Mission 3 Bug?
Everytime I have attempted to play the third mission on the Order campaign (the mission where the Elder must move their base across the map then the Imperial Guard must hold out against the Orks), when at the final stage of the mission when the reinforcements appear, after I kill the Squiggoth, the Orks continue to spawn infinite numbers of infantry and tanks, eventually wearing down my forces including my Baneblade and overrunning my base, causing me to be defeated. Every strategy guide I have looked at has said that the Orks should eventually stop spawning but they do not for me. Does anyone have any advice on what to do?

Same problem here.

Toughest mission I ever played in Dawn of war. I used a strategy guide but he amount of enemies which the Baneblade had to fight off is disgusting.

I've been slowly going back to this mission here and there over the last few months and I give up each time. One day I'll figure it out.

They *are* supposed to stop after the Squiggoth dies. If they're not, you've either missed an objective, or the game is bugged. One or the other. Maybe verify files or reinstall, if it keeps happening, I got nothin'.

I just completed this mission a couple of days ago, and the orks don't stop after killing the Squiggoth. In my case I haven't destroyed any of the ork tanks that started attacking from the beginning of the siege, so after killing the Squiggoth I went outside my base and destroyed all of these tanks (there were around 6-8 of them) and only after this did I receive a Mission Successful message.

My opinion is that the most important thing is to kill all the ork forces that attacked your base before your reinforcements arrived or before the Squiggoth dies (not sure which one is the trigger). If you somehow miss some ork infantry or tanks that arrived before your reinforcements then you won't win the mission until you find and kill them. The ork waves will keep on coming in the meantime but killing them won't help you. In fact when I destroyed the last of the ork tanks I had a pretty big ork wave engulf my Baneblade, but I received the Mission Successful screen nonetheless.

This is my theory anyway based on the experience I had.

Very strange mission
I was playing on Insane diff, so guards are meat, walkers are garbage, turrets can be killed with one jetpack-orc squad. So to win it you need to destroy Squiggoth as well as tanks. You can try to trade your baneblade for Sq, but the tanks will still be a problem. So at first you need to send commander and flame tank to defend Eldars, then capture points and build at least 3 generators (1 you have from the starts). After that you gonna need at least 1 leman russ (150s/300e) for every enemy tank + lots and lots of turrets to keep the meat of them.

This mission is bugged beyound believe. Just at the start when you kill Big Mek you need to transport your Bonesinger to new location... but you cant do it because it covered by FoW.

Was stuck on this mission for a few days and this helped!

Basically I built a bunch of turrets around my base, upgraded some to missle turrets for the Squiggoth, and kept funneling them into where all my turrets could get at em. Also made sure to take out any enemies from before the timer ran out.

I had no problems on hard difficulty. The orcs stopped spawning after i killed the Squiggoth and the tanks.

Your hero unit is tanky and respawns for free, so you can use it to tank damage while your Basilisks kill all infantry. The only real problem are the orc tanks. I managed to destroy 2 easily with the special ability of the psyker, the others were hard to kill.

I was also very annoyed at this buggy mission, only after destroying all the tanks, the mission was successful, just ignore the Ork infantry, destroy all the tanks, as long as the tanks are present, the horde wont stop coming.

I have a problem where, despite having those 3 points, my resources increase very slow so it's impossible to get enough turrets and forces up before overwhelmed.
