Stutter/Spike(?)-Lags/FPS-drops
Is there any way to solve this problem? It´s here since all the latest F1 Games (2016, 2017, 2018 and now 2019). More on the one circuit, less at an other.

Good to see in this video (not from me):

weird, you set up is so similar to mine, and yet it's the opposite of me

I have the same issue, and unfortunately for me it's worse than in F1 2018. I tried both dx11 and 12, it's the same with both, can't do a single lap without the game/PC locking up completely for 0.1-0.5s once or twice, sometimes more, just like in the linked video. It happens at random parts of the track. I play plenty of games, mostly racing games (like Assetto Corsa, Raceroom, etc), I don't have this issue in any other game.

As a huge F1 fan, it's really disappointing, makes the game unplayable for me, and as I don't expect a fix anymore (the problem exists for years...), I'll have to get a refund.

Pretty sure it's Denuvo. Which, by the way, still isn't listed on the store page and still isn't directly mentioned in the EULA. How can Codemasters get away with this?
2018's Denuvo-free exe made that game run flawlessly on Ultra High. 2019, I'm running on Ultra Low. You can't tell me there's this much of a difference.

lol, I had these drops sometimes in F1 2018.
Now in F1 2019 they are completely gone

I feel like I had these issues in 2018 and using windowed mode seemed to help
bunder Jun 27, 2019 @ 5:15pm
Fwiw, I get screen freezes in 2017 on Linux, unless feral ported denuvo too, I doubt its that.

change the game direct from 12 to 11 when you load up the game, it makes almost all of the stuttering disappear

And I can assure YOU that Denuvo is NOT the issue. This issue pre-dates Denuvo's existence by many years.

Without Denuvo there is no lock up and loading times are many minutes faster.

Is it anti-piracy or is it anti-user?
It's BOTH, that's the issue. It's a flaw in the software.

See this is what I don't get. The game connects to online services at launch.
Why not just not allow the game to be played on a pirated version and drop denuvo altogether? It'd significantly increase performance, get rid of crashes (that are not dx12 related), and the loading times would also be reduced by a large amount of time.

For me DX12 fixed the issue. Using the latest Geforce driver, DX12 with Steam overlay and disable Nvidia Ansel. No stutter for the moment. :-)

Using dx 12 and disabling steam's in game overlay for the game worked well for me.

Go into Audio Settings / Advanced and turn AUDIO UPLOAD RATE down to LOW. This fixed it in F1 2018 for me and was the first thing I did in F1 2019 and I have no stuttering in either game now. Audio Upload Rate affects CPU and Framerates if you read its description
