I'm using a Horipad FPS plus, it was ok before on Kiwami 2 but I don't know what happened. It's working good with the other yakuza games too only in Kiwami 2 it didn't detect now.

I remember seeing it mentioned SOMEWHERE and I cannot remember where. It was my last hope before refunding it. Can't believe it actually was the issue.

Can confirm... This is weird.

Turned all LEDs to Off in MSI Dragon Center and the controller issue is gone... LOL

Right click the game on steam and go to Properties > Controller. Click the drop down menu and select "Disable Steam Input"

What can I do if i have the same issue but no LEDs on my computer? I'm so desperate...

This one doesn't work for me. Disabling Steam Input just desactivates my Xbox controller, even after restarting the game.
I posted this somewhere else because it solved my DS4 controller issues. What worked for me was changing this setting:

Big Picture Mode> [Choose Game]>Controller Option> Force OFF

I use a 3rd party xbox one/pc controller. had all the keys on the gamepad reversed like X for B and left right were up and down. That fixed it for me and the controller still works even though it says every controller is disabled. It does say "per game override" so in my case i'd assume the game is detecting and using it anyway bypassing steam.

Yeah this is the same solution, unfortunately it really just "turns off" my controller and prevents me from passing the title screen...

Bummer, sorry there's no luck. This game has a lot of controller issues for sure.

Ok so little update, i finally found a solution. When I launched YK2 with Special K, there was a little "HID" glowing red in the mod menu. So I desactivated everything in my device manager with the "HID" mention and the issue is gone now, aha. No idea what I really did, but I guess it has something to do with USB?
