Stuck on Final Bouncer Mission on Legend and Golf Challenge

Can I just say the final bouncer mission, Pandemonium, is just complete and utter bullsh*it? I am now on Legend difficulty for this mission versus 3 Amons and their freakin army of mobs. I have the most problem with Kazuya Amon, because he's a melee fighter and has shield up for invisibility once his hp depletes to a certain level. Then I need to wait until his shield goes down and find a chance to approach him. Problem is Jiro Amon always appears with his machine gun before I can finish killing the first Amon. Then Sango Amon with his motherf*ucking bazooka will appear too soon after Jiro. I think there is something I am not doing right - like not killing them fast enough, or wrong strategy.

Can I have some advice on what strategy / gears / weapons to use?

Lastly, I am struggling to complete the Albatross Akagi's Golf Challenge. This is the only substory that is preventing me from completing all substories (and unlocking an achievement). This Golf challenge is so hard, even harder than mahjong, and I wonder why they make a minigame as condition for completing all substories. Seems rather unfair. Are there any tips to cheese through Golf, or is it simply a case of git gud?

How do I get someone to play golf for me? Lol.


[Updated: I've completed Pandemonium. Used War God talisman for infinite extreme heat and got an inventory full of special unlimited usage weapons. Even then, there is still an element of luck involved].

i made a guide for the side story in particular, i highly suggest getting stuck in and grabbing a piece of paper and making notes, although you really only need to focus on 3 holes in one, which are surprisingly easy to get, just follow my guide (especially the strategy section) and make your own adjustments. You should hit it pretty quick, id say within 10 tries if you take my suggestions to heart.

especially focus on holes 1, 4 and 10. 1 and 4 you should hit red everytime and get holes in one on one of them most playthroughs, especially 4. 10 is a bit tricky but once you get it down, it's not bad, then you just got to hit the green on the other ones ocassionally.

Completed the Golf Challenge! I focused on sinking holes 1-4. Got the first 2 holes in, they are the easiest... game was already decided by the second ball. Overall, a difficult challenge because most angles look different from the what they appear on screen. The power level for each shot too is arbitrary and not at all predictable.

This is a good guide - and the only one to discuss about Golf - a very specific minigame. Hope you'll wrote more guides in future.

Substories all done. Demolished the 4 Amons in a row. Now the only thing left is to learn all skills for the achievement ;)

For Amon, just hide and use an infinite ammo gun and heat move him with high damage weapons whenever possible, and for golf I just watched a video on YouTube, after that it didn't take long

First mistake you do on pandemonium is killing every mob you see without knowing that once certain number of mob is down it will summon the amons. First hit Kazuya first UNTIL HE'S DEAD and don't kill the mob because it will summon the other amon. Rinse an repeat for each amon. Use weapon from dead mob to heat action him

Nah when his shield is up, heat moves do no damage whatsoever. In fact, I think he is immune whenever shield is up. Fortunately, the shield will not last forever and there's a lot of running around in circles with the Amons. This itself makes them very annoying.

Interesting observation. I always thought it's based on how fast / slow it takes to kill an Amon that summons the other Amon. So how is the weapon from dead mob any better than a Kamiyama weapon?

Thanks! Now the real final boss is actually the mahjong, shogi, golf, casino and baseball. Minigames are preventing me from 100% this game. The only games I excel in are karaoke and darts, both which I absolutely enjoyed. I cannot for the life of me play mahjong or understand the Japanese gambling system.... like, what the hell?

You'll have to make a choice on mahjong because it's a time investment, the game is actually really simple and very similar to gin rummy. However it's going to take you probably 8 hours of dedicated study and practice to be able to finish the minigame in Yakuza.

There's a video at the bottom of this guide that I watched, it's about 4 hours long. I find mahjong to be one of my favorite Yakuza minigames now. Shogi is the one i simply can't do, it's too hard and luckily you don't need to know much to complete the CP.

i should also mention you can use this guide for the other gambling games, Koi-Koi is really fun actually and can be super frustrating since you either win or get stomped. Oicho-kabu is pretty fun too but unlike Koi-Koi, it doesn't really take too long. BTW I should mention that all these gambling games have cheat items you can find through substories or via a locker. So Oicho-Kabu, for example, can be completed in a single hand with the cheat item. Koi Koi takes a bit longer, but it's doable within 20 minutes. I think the worst gambling game is actually poker.

one last edit, you'll want to save one of the cheat items for mahjong for the hard table tourney, i tried that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing 20 times and I couldn't beat it. You've done the substory, so there should be one left out in the wild if you used it for the substory.

Wait until you face Jo Amon lololol.

Heat action deal the same damage regardless of weapon type. Spamming the same heat action reduce damage and there's a lot of discarded weapon when fight kazuya amon, just pick it, get close, give heat action, find another weapon. And you don't spend time changing weapon in pause

How do I get this ♥♥♥♥ done? The bazooka guy stays invincible even when the bubble dropped. Heat actions do ♥♥♥♥ all.

I did this fight on Legend, using the post-game lightsaber sword from Kamiyama (forget what it was actually called). You probably already know this from completing the earlier missions but the sacred wood armor allows you to block bullets while facing toward Jiro, and the heavenly beasts braclets prevents status effects.

Note also that even though you're restricted from using items, there are no constraints on accessories, meaning you can bring a pile of sacrifice stones to the battle and equip another each time you "die" and one breaks.

After the Amons started showing up I just ran laps around the big sign wall on the West side of the plaza, periodically stopping near the ends to clear out some of the grunts and fighting individual brothers one-on-one. If another came around I'd run away and switch to the other side to break the line of sight and avoid getting gunned down/bazooka'd. Rinse and repeat.

Heat actions are seriously important in these fights. Yes they do no damage after the first time, but they knock the Amons down and break their normal attack cycle, and you can attack them normally with impunity while they get back up (and refill your heat gauge at the same time to repeat the process).

It's been a while since I did this fight but I don't believe he's actually invincible with the shield down, though they take very little damage once you reach the last life bar.

I am doing them on normal. I don't have half of these items!
I have the wood armour, Dragon Binding and the Talisman.
I don't have any sacrifice stones.

I got to the last Amon and tried to heat action him but it didnt work.
If I melee him, he dodges instantly and instantly shoots rockets in my face, killing me.

Just spam weapon heat attack (gun & light sabre) and wear that bulletproof armor & War God talisman. Kill boss first, fight mob later. Focus on the 2nd Amon when he appears, don't kill trash mob. If you kill too much mob, 3rd Amon will appear suddenly you'll be screwed. Hope that helps.

I get that from beating the last bouncer mission. That's the issue.
The Amons just kill me because my heat runs out!

How the*** do I do this sh*t ? I can't melee them because they instantly dodge and pump me full of bullets/rockets.

I can't tank them, I can't use heat actions either. I don't have all the gimmicks every guide says! I only have the lightsabers, the poison sword and the Dragon Sticks.
None of those do enough damage.
My armours dont help me. The dude's bullets still hurt me and set me on fire through my block.

Why are they immune to damage and heat when the shield is down?
Why does Kiryu get hit by normal goons with unreactable attacks?
WHY ALL THE F***CKING HITSTUN AND ANIMATION LOCKS?!
Why does Kiryu turn away and loses one third of HP from Kazuya?
I don't have any control over the character here!

First of all to make your life easier buy Dragon SP from Kamamiya. it only available on premium adventure

for geari used sacred wood armor to auto guard against gun, heavenly beast bracelet and Dragon god amulet

Now for the strategy just pull Dragon Sp and shoot anyone you see to death and you'll never run out heat. once the amon shows up keep shooting him until he activate his barrier. don't engage them when their barrier on because you'll do very little damage instead just keep running away until the barrier run out. once the barrier gone the gun no longer working on them so this is the right time to use heat action on him

now for the tricky part. each Amon would spawn after certain number of goons defeated. once an Amon spawn stop kill the goons focus on the boss instead or keep the number of goons you killed as low as possible otherwise another Amon would show up and gang up on you

Thanks for the tips on the sacrifice stones and waiting for the shield to disappear. I kept dying because I thought the shield was his final form and I wasn't gonna be able to use heat actions anymore, so I just charged in with my photon sword and prayed I wouldn't get wiped out too badly. But now if I kite him for a minute, I can finish him off with a couple of heat actions. The second guy was tricky because he can shoot lock me from a distance and he's always surrounded by guys so I can't shoot back. I got lucky and was able to get several open shots as soon as he spawned and the mob was behind me.

Also the sacrifice stones came in handy too. I used two of them!
