This thread is now the official discussion thread for any and all Yakuza games part of the franchise, most specifically PC.

Make sure to use spoilers when talking about events that happen in the games to prevent spoiling people

Yeah nothing will come of the EA event. The 23rd is the NGPX show. I don't know how to feel about this one in all honesty. I don't wanna feel disappointed twice in a row. I wanna have hope but after the PC Gaming Show, I'm still feeling disappointed.

Currently inclined to agree with those suggesting 3-5 on PC being held up due to some deal with MS & will likely release alongside Xbox versions with comparatively low-key marketing.

'twould be good for those who don't have a current gen console but without the 1.5 + 2.5 and 2.8 collections you're likely to be spending a lot of time wondering what's going on, who these people are and why you should care about them . . . that series is *not* like Yakuza / RGG in that "spin-offs" (non-numbered titles, typically originally released on handhelds or even as mobage) have vital plot / lore / backstory information without which parts of the numbered games make no sense.

I played 1, 2 and those from psp in 2006 when i was 19 years old with ps2 and psp emulators. These collections if they come to pc they will be the pc versions of kingom heaets 1 ,2 and and chain of memories. Same games with amazing graphics instead of the terrible graphics they had on my athlon x2 and geforce 7900 gt then in 2006.

While Sega is nigh incompetent at times (waiting years to port Persona 4 to PC and how they've handled the Sonic franchise after SA2 released) I don't think they'll be dumb enough to stop porting Yakuza after the first three have been so successful and nearly universally lauded.

I think it's less of a matter of 'if' and more of a matter of 'when.' They're running on the same engine that 0 and Kiwami run on, right?

or even older version of it, don't know exactly though.

I just know for sure that it's not Dragon engine

Yes, they will be ran on the old engine and not K2's engine. QLOC ported K2 while Lab42 did 0 and K1. This is the information I was told so I'm just going off what was said.

If nothing is said on the 23rd then it'll be safe to say that maybe, just maybe, during the Xbox event we'll hear something about PC ports for the collection. The sales weren't bad for the original ports on PC. If anything, they were highly successful and were praised by many.

lets just wait , if expect anything on the exact date you can be disappointed again, so we will make our lessons from PC gamer show and don't expect anything

I'm not even gonna watch the show. Learnt my lesson from PC Gaming Show 100%. If anyone in here watches the show they can keep us updated if anything is announced but as majority of people have said, it's likely possible that the Xbox conference is our best bet.

I'll probably watch, just cuz I love watching streams in English (since its not my native one and I love English sound and Japanese as well) and I'll have some free time, so I'll try to write here if anything comes out

Much appreciated. I’m praying we hear something of some sort. I’m really hungry for these games like I’ve been waiting for so long. It sucks how SEGA have left us in the dark for so long, tease us about it and then stay silent.

Since the release of Yakuza kiwami 2 I have been bombarding the official Twitter of SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio on the PC versions of Yakuza Remastered Collection, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life and Judgment, it is a constant struggle for us players of PC let us not be forgotten ... I think one day I will be blocked there on Twitter HAHA

I do believe SEGA are aware of how the collection for PC is a high demand like they know this it’s just they’ve been silent about it for the longest time now without saying a word. It’s really annoying not knowing if it’s coming or not. All I want is reassurance that it genuinely is.
