So your specific hand here looks good with the exception of your dragon tiles. They need to be all the same tile. You have a red, green and white. You need 3 greens, 3 reds or 3 whites. They're individual tiles, not just lumped together.
just a tip, if you have say 2 of any dragon tile (like 2 whites) or 2 of any table or seat wind tile, then you should think about opening your hand (stealing tiles) because a set (3) of dragon, seat wind, or table wind tiles (3 in a row) count as 1 han, so it's one of the fastest/easiest ways to win a hand. Otherwise usually try to keep your hand closed like you did in this hand.
Also follow the settings that s/he mentioned to get easier hands (kuitan=On and 2-han minimum=Off)
Btw, that side story is very difficult but you can cheese it out with the peerless tile
EDIT: the hand from your screenshot has potential to be a decent hand:
- Sanshoku already made: You repeated the sequence 234 in the three suits. 2 points ina closed hand (1 if opened)
- If you keep your hands without 1, 9 and honors you'll get 1 point because of the yaku all simples
- If you declare riichi, 1 point.
That's 4 points approx. And you could even make more points with other things considered (menzen tsumo, pinfu, ura dora)
