Believe it or not RGG do not want to spend 4 more years remaking previous titles.

I think the production process is complicated and expensive. So don't use dragon engines.
The Yakuza series is fun and cheap.
And the evaluation on the steam is also high.
Almost 90% positive.
But it's unbelievable, it can't sell better than indie games.
So SEGA can't put in a budget.
Remastering the game is.
PS That Substory about Yakuza (SUNSET) 3, were they actually bad mouthing Yakuza 3 ? They stated that Yakuza Sunset 3 had been cut to pieces which is actually true in the west! Not same director, the game sucked they stated in Kiwami 2! And to top it all Kiryu himself watches Yakuza (Sunset) 3 in a video booth and says he can see why it flopped! Low effort street brawls that lacks the punch, bad ending, could see why it flopped.
PPS How have the PS4 Japanese sales for the remasters been like in Japan ? Top or flop ?
I had no idea, that's pretty interesting, thanks.
They're really really not. I just started playing 3 and it's a GIANT step back from Kiwami 2. Feels super janky and weird. They really should have remade these with the dragon engine.
