The man in black knife boots boss fight is a load of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
He dodges everything, blocks everything, has ridiculous ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ moves with preposterous range speed and damage...

There isn't ♥♥♥♥ I can do. Why does this franchise make every single bossfight into a ten minute long cutscene of you getting slapped around like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ with enemies that completely disregard the rules you abide as well as basic physics? Why do the enemies have actually good combos while I'm stuck with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ low range slow attacks next to no actual tracking?

Honestly, this was the last straw for me, the plot isn't anything worthwhile either.

Try stocking up on stamimans and do quickstep attacks at him. He doesn't block those as often.
Or stock up on heat increasing items and weapons and spam heat actions.

I managed to kite him the most idiotic way possible, with sofas and trashcans because of the hyperarmor they give you. ♥♥♥♥ this game makes me rage, at least 0 and kiwami had the rush style, but there isn't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you can do to gain leverage here.

It pisses me off how the combat in this game is based solely around item usage. I never feel like I'm fighting my equal in boss fights. If it was like that because I'm unskilled, I would understand and improve myself, but all it really boils down to is that the bossfights are just immensely unfair. The enemies have all the tools you have at their disposition, while also having better combos and hyperarmor.

I shouldn't have listened to people who told me this game has better boss fights...

It does have better boss fights. Just a few of them have characters who sidestep just about everything. The man in black's one of them.

Always carry some katanas or weapons of choice on you, then abuse them when an enemy displays similar behaviour.

You are unskilled, i ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on the boss first time on the hardest difficulty, charged attacks are your friends.

The sh.tty thing about the fights in kiwami 2 is the you can not turn when you're in the block stance, even in 1 on 1 fights you will be unable to track a side stepping attacker while blocking which is total BS

is the boss on amano building? level up son.
Klinex May 12, 2019 @ 6:36am
Yeah, no more god like Rush style for you anymore, got to actually think during boss fights now.

Quicksteps, charge attacks, parry, block... . Learn how to use all of that and things will become way less annoying.

Or play on easy.

Use the dlc uzi you should've got along with a damage boosting drink and just spray bullets at him.

You don't seem to know anything about the combat system at all, seeing as you forgot about the fact that you can't block attacks from sharp weapons without a certain accessory which I'm not even sure is in this game.

Also the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ literally negates quicksteps with his range and tracking.
Parries yield me what, a single hit? Before he turns around and begins anew. Throws are useless, he immediatelly breaks out of them.

How about some useful advice such as what combat abilities are actually useful instead of explaining the basics of combat that I have gotten down back in Y0? Your elitist drivel contributes absolutely nothing.

Dude he dodges even swift light attacks with impunity, the only thing that happens when I charge up is that he dodges as well and then punishes me, that is if he doesn't interrupt me when charging up.

I'm not buying that you managed to take him down on hardest without the usage of items. Not even for a second.

The Yakuza games are the easiest gaming series i've ever played, the only real challenge of these games are the secret super bosses that are not tied to the story, the Amon Clan, so yeah, i've done every boss of every Yakuza game without healing items, in my experience charged attacks (not the running ones) are the best tool to stagger bosses, then unleash a combo, if he is dodging keep charge attacking him, eventually you'll stagger him, i've played Kiwami 2 for over 80 hours so i know the boss is very much beatable, as is every boss in the Yakuza series.

What difficulty are you playing this on?

If you absolutely need it, this guy is doing 99% of the time Yakuza videos, @5:44 for the boss on the highest difficulty.

I mean I beat him with no healing items as well, swinging environment props at him, but beating him fair and square in hand to hand without healing items is nonsense, unless of course you keep using items that increase your heat.

Sounds like he needs 'game journalist' mode. Easy is just too hard.

That's like the easiest boss in the game that I've beat. Loving the game, but wish port was better.
