Not a single time it got picked up. I picked and dropped till it tipped over.
The crane game is way easier than in the previous games as the stuffed toys tend to get stuck to the crane.
Got every item on my 1st try so far.
It isn't easier. In Yakuza 0 is the easiest one, the claw there has a shadow. So it's easy to see the distance..
Ever try to get any of these stupid toys in a crane game IRL? You can't grab them half the time, you HAVE to knock them over and basically 'push' them to the hole. At least in the Dragon Engine, proper realistic physics now apply to the toys so they'll behave how you'd expect them to.
So meh, its a bit of a 50/50 trade off. Not being able to move the camera in any direction you choose is the handicap here.
Also, the physics are broken. Ragdoll "slide around the room" physics are fun when you kick a guy, they're less fun when the crane has finally picked something up and instead of it falling in the hole so you win, it just barely touches something on its way down and pinballs back up into the machine.
Also dont forget that you can tilt your view around the machine.
Took me a few tries for sure.
Always go for the one that's closest first.
