Kiryu in The Simpsons
I was watching season 8 episode 11 "The Twisted World of Marge" it's the one where Marge starts a pretzel business.

The last scene has Fat Tony and his Italian gang fighting a gang of Yakuza and one of the Yakuza members is a guy in a white suit, comb back hair cut, yellow dress shirt with lapels draped over blazer, strong cheek bones, and seems polite- demonstrated when he apologizes for breaking a window.

Maybe it's just a coincidence but I choose to believe that the Simpsons were making a nod to Kiryu.

The Simpsons' eighth season originally aired on the Fox network between October 27, 1996, and May 18, 1997

Yeah, probably not.
Well, the Simpsons already predicted several facts from the future, Kazuma Kiryu is probably one of them.

Damn I should have checked dates. Yakuza 1 (no Kiwamis) is 2005. Well ♥♥♥♥ it, it still looks like Kiryu. Was '97 one of the years where Kiryu was in jail? Or not? Hehe, because I'm prepared to say he traveled to Springfield to look after family interests in the Pita business, it can become fan lore to irritate or amuse the writers of Yakuza series.

Pretty much this. There was another, less well known, Yakuza themed game also released 2005, "The 任侠" (translated, badly, into English as Yakuza Fury), part of D3 Publisher's Simple 2000 Series which also gave us The Earth Defence Force, & the default appearance of the protagonist had an outfit very similar to Kiryu's iconic look. Likely both were drawing on older traditions of yakuza cinema going back to Toei films of the '60s and '70s.

EDIT: removed redundant redundancy.

I vaguely remember those films. When I was younger I was into Kung-fu, Godzilla, and Yakuza movies. I was O.W., Original Weeaboo.
