You can do either one of these things
1. Unplug your keyboard physically from your system. Play game. You may have to restart your system.
or....
2. Once in Steam, go into the properties portion of the game, and go into the location of the local files, right click on the exe file, set it to Windows 7 compatibility mode. This will work.....but, what happens after that is a toss up. For me, the xbox button prompts no longer show up. All I get are the keyboard button prompts.
...or
3. Use the Special K tool by Kaldaien for Yakuza 2 Kiwami. It's in the discussion portion where it says "ATTN QLOC"...Once you install the mod, go into input management, check the box that says "disable keyboard input". Close the game and restart it. It should work now. Of course, you will not be able to use the keyboard because essentially it's doing option 1. (This is the option that I used)
For me, it affects -all- of the Yakuza series games. Since Kaldaien doesn't have a Special K mod for every single one of them (unfortunately) for Zero and the first Kiwami, I have resorted to using Windows 7 compatibility mode, and this seems to work.
Unfornunately, i tried the first 2 options but they didn't work
I have yet to test the 3rd one though, which i will try later on
