Which Dub?

I gotta know before I start playing... I've heard the English dub is wonky.
But is it good wonky? Or should I stick to Japanese for my first go?

i think its great.... Chawlett make a great effort to sound like a half bread Human/ Elf .... some people dont like it.... to each his own...

Go in knowing that it's intentionally over the top and wacky. If you understand that from the start, it may be easier to deal with. If you go in thinking they were doing it seriously, it will seem abysmal.

From what native speakers have said, the Japanese performances aren't any better and are just as over the top and some things are done better in English and vice versa.

I stick with the Japanese dub. The English voice acting is generally fine but there are times it sounds like their mics are messing up? Also some voices I feel don't fit, I see crimson wizard having an dark or deep tone of voice. His voice in the dub is too light for my liking. There are moments I do prefer the english over the other though.

I returned the game. Turns out I like Final Fantasy style combat more.
