Good Tanks?

So far only tried Duran+Angela+Hawkeye.

Right now Duran's Divine Hero + Provoke + 70% chance not to die from ohko is pretty good for a tank. Just let the AI control him and do periodic heals and status cleansing items from time to time.

What other characters can play the tank role?

I don't think anyone else gets the Provoke passive and no one else but light Duran can equip shields, but some classes get Enigma or Enigma II, which makes them harder to be targeted.

Aside from Duran, Riesz is somewhat sturdy but hardly fit the bill for "Tanker". I think Duran is the only proper "tank" in this game (makes sense since he's the one one with a shield, too).

Then they can't be called "tank" if all they did is letting the enemies getting to you =))

Riesz doesn't tank directly but light path Riesz brings a lot of party wide durability
