[Solution] Ultrawide with or w/o black pillars
[Solution in post 2]
[Update]
Solution in post 2 is with black pillars on widescreen.
Post 4 and 5 are ways to get ultra-wide to work in this game without zoomed in visuals.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have an ultra-wide monitor and the game is super zoomed in at 2560 x 1440 (the highest resolution the game offers)
The game just stretches out the game to my whole display making the game a unplayable stretched mess. Can you please at least add black borders to both sides if we do full screen 2560 x 1440?

I also tried borderless gaming which then just zooms the game in too much to be playable.

I was able to solve the issue of no pillar box on 2560x1440 full screen by going into my
Nvidia Control Panel
Display tab
"Adjusting desktop size and positioning"
changing my scaling to aspect ratio, no scaling, integer scaling all work.

Thank you! This finally fixed the problem for me.

The following solution worked for me to get 5120 x 1440 resolution with no black pillars, while editing with HxD didn't work.

Please note you still need borderless gaming, make the game the highest resolution it supports windowed. While borderless gaming makes it full screen borderless.

No need to download a hex editor. Just use https://hexed.it which runs in the browser

Click open file, select the exe, enter 24E7600 in 'Go to' (right side). The second last entry on that line should be 0E click it and enter 3E. Click export and replace the exe. Done.

Lol thanks, but I'm no real modder. So it's up to real modders that know how to put the files back into the game.

that UUU works but it's a bit wonky, you don't have to hex edit, and it keeps the menu in shape without weird side bars.
but i had a fatal error once that crashed the game. you have to set it to windowed after loading a game, then alt tab and choose the resolution *every time*, but it's cleaner than the hex edit + boarderless gaming app method

I uploaded 1 mesh, I have no idea how to add the textures back or scripts. If you want to download it, it's available on the LL post. If you know how to upload it back into the game give it a shot and let's see if it works.
