No co-op?
When i was a kid i loved playing this game with my sister. Was hoping to be able to play it with my girlfriend now instead and show her one of my favorite games of all time. But looking at the steam store page it says nothing about co-op.

My question is, if not online, will it have any form of local co-op at least? If not that's kinda disappointing :(

Being able to take over a character as the second player in the original and having co-op is what made this game truly unique and way ahead of it's time, sad to see that the remake doesnt have it.

No, you don't have Coop here, because squareenix would need more time to make Coop. We have to deal with that. I mean, the game is very good, without Coop. But sure, Coop would be better.

They did it 25 years ago, why cant they do it now :(

Because squareenix says: "We would need more time to implate (correct word? Sorry, my English is not the best). That there answer :)

But believe me (I'm a Coop Fanboy) that game is world class, even without Coop.

Tatsuke: “The original game, with its top-down perspective, included an offline multiplayer mode. This time, we used an adjustable third person perspective to enhance the feeling of being immersed in the world, so we didn’t include that option. We also considered online multiplayer mode, but in order to do that, we would have had to incorporate additional elements specifically to make it enjoyable for online as well. This would have required us to split out time in creating a game that was enjoyable both offline and online. Instead, we thought that we would be able to create something better by focusing on it as a single-person game, and that’s how the decision came to be. We are not planning to have multi-player added through a future update, either.”

im hoping the modding community to bring that part in, only time will tell bruh, if it makes it to xbox by the time we get the coop ill definitely be picking it up on there as well

No clue how long its gonna tack modders to add multiplayer. I wouldnt expect much for awhile if at all.

Also, Seiken Densetsu 3 is on Switch if you own one, so you can still show your girlfriend your favorite game.

We will get Coop mods for sure, easy going with unreal engine. Look at subnautica, game code is totally crap, no Coop, Dev say Coop will don't come, never. And boom, a Modder build a Coop mod.

Because the game has a free cam now wouldn't work with this playstyle.
(and did you see how broken the coop was for Secret of Mana Remake?!? would say multiple controllers were plugged in when they weren't and keyboard would control all 3 characters it was broken as hell especially for people just trying to play single player)

Because of free cam there is no Coop? Sorry, but that is crap. Look at games like Dynastie warriors etc. There is no problem mit Coop when u have a free cam. Every guy who works at gaming/as a devs would say that to you when he is not lying ;)

I play many games with free cam and Coop.

Secret of mana remake was broken because bad programming, that's it.
