Cause I have all three as a light only class.
Need to get that.
Thanks for the info.
Because people want to change to class 3 before the Benevodons are all dead; and depending on the order you do them, you might get items for the classes you don't want first.
Edit: they also may be playing with the original in mind, in which case you had to grind for seeds.
The game also doesn't do a good job of making it clear all the ??? Seeds in the Benevodon dungeons are special, since they just get added to whatever seeds you may have, which are completely RNG (busted one at that too - there's some bug or whatever that turns all ??? Seeds into a single item. Happened to me yesterday).
It would've been better if each chest dropped the actual item you needed to change class, instead of another step. It's the only dumb mechanic that should've been forgotten but got ported from the original.
I think switching to class 3 is overkill for the Benevodons, though.
But sure, I can unterstand when people know the original an try to farm like in the original.
But "because people would change class before all benevedons are dead" is simply stupid, because you haven't to kill then to get the seeds..
Here in the remake you don't need to farm a single ??? Seed...
Let me be clear, I don't farm them. But I can see why people may be thinking of doing so.
It's not stupid to finish a dungeon and move to the next - it's just the natural flow of gameplay. Getting seeds and getting out then back again is too much backtracking, even with the rope, because some seeds are way too deep into some dungeons (and some are really annoying to backtrack, like Wandara and the tower).
And people would only do that if they knew each seed would yield a unique drop. How would anybody know that without outside info? Specially when the game already established the seed planting mechanic and how random it is, and some monsters dropping ??? seeds (so the player immediately thinks it's better to farm them to change class ASAP, since they'll be way over the level limit already when these seeds drops).
1. Go to Fiery Gorge, the chest is like halfway into the the dungeon. You will be there in like a minute or 2 if you escape from the fights. Reason I go here first, is because this place is the longest of the 3 I head off too, and at this point you don't have a single ??? seed yet. So it will be 50/50 you will get the right seed for one of your characters.
2. The second I go to is the Labyrinth of Ice. The chest is somewhat at the start of the dungeon. Is a little bit shorter than the Fiery Gorge.
3. Last one Wood of Wandara. This one is pretty much right at the start. Go to the area where you walk horizontal. It's the second chest in this area.
I take these 3 dungeons, because in the other ones the chests containing the seeds are at the very end of those dungeons. Of course, it's still a bit off RNG. If the chest doesn't contain the right ??? seed for your class that you want, just load the savegame BEFORE you open the chest, because after you open the chest the class item will always be the same if you plant the seed. Anyway, my last playthrough I only had to load 1 time, and it took me like 10 minutes to get all 3 seeds I needed for my 3 characters without killing a single Benevodon yet. I think this method beats any kind of mob farming.
it works as long as you open them at the same time. Which is what people do, rush all 6 dungeon to get the seeds, open them all in one go and switch classes.
