4th classes
For those that do not get Square Enix emails, Trials of Mana will have Class 4.

Some examples...

Duran: Divine Hero, Berserker
Angela: Mystic Queen, Spellbinder
Kevin: Beast King, Annihilator
Charlotte: High Priestess, Chaosbringer
Hawkeye: Wardenkeep, Vigilante
Riesz: Meteorite, Brynhildr

It makes me wonder if these will be final paths to their Light/Dark alternates regardless of 3rd choice (Light/Dark, Light/Light, and Dark/Light, Dark/Dark respectively). If not, then we would definitely have another 2 more choices to make.

Some of these names do sound familiar to the Class 3 choices, but seeing how it is advertised as Class 4, perhaps we might be seeing something extra? SD3 definitely did not have Class 4, so this must be something new.

Enjoy everyone...

Wow the 4th class for Light Hawk is going to be massive. Nomad and Rogue has wildly different movesets and Wardenkeep is going to have 20 unique spells.

That's one of the reason I hate the Light path of Hawkeye - too many skills.

In this remake, there are more reasons for me NEVER to go Light path - Ranger's outfit is okay, but WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH WANDERER AND ROGUE'S OUTFITS? Is Hawkeye a clown now?

If Ninja Master and Nightblade have the dark colors and that of a soldier, Wanderer and Rogue would resemble more of someone associated with trickery (♥♥♥♥♥).

Yes but if you put that ♥♥♥♥♥ in shining armor it looks just like a clown ...

Wanderer's outfit looks so terrible that if by some change I'm going Light Hawkeye I will keep the Ranger's outfit even after changing to Class 3.

Thank god for the outfit select feature.

Trollolol yeah you are right. I love Hawk, he has the most difference between his 3rd classes in the original.

I never seen "too many spells to choose from" be used as a criticism before but to each his own I guess. I agree that look of the wanderer / nomad is pretty silly with the purple yoga pants and the oversized hat but I like the wolf pelt look from the rogue and the 4th tier light looks fine. Traps scaling with luck and being able to critically hit is also pretty great buff to the rogue skills as well.

In the SNES version I hate it because all the spells are stuffed inside the Ring menu and whenever I want to use one of them I have to scroll left and right to find the spell I want.

However now that's no longer a problem with the new shorcut for quick cast. Maybe I will go Light Hawkeye for fun, after a few replays...

I do agree that the shining armor part is pretty tacky. I don't know if their arts department got a little lazy in this, but if they made his armor more scale-like in nature, it may fit the design better. Heck, even leather wouldh've been better, but I guess that design was saved for his Dark classes.

im almost wondering if you will be able to unlock all the classes to change (probably not since one part of the game is plotting out what your characters will become class wise)

Yes, you will be able to respec your class with an item called goddess scales. How many are available per playthrough is anyone's guess though. They're supposed to be pretty rare.
I was just reading an old article on gematsu that mentions class reset and Goddess Scales, and from what I understand there is only one such item, very well hidden, but it may not be consumed?

As with a Class Change, by talking to a Mana Stone with the Goddess Scales obtained, you can perform a “Class Reset.” The Goddess Scales are hidden somewhere in a treasure chest. It seems to be a very hard to find item.

This sounds like these Scales are not a consumable item but unlimited use afterwards.

Yup.
And training reset appears to be done at the Black Market in Byzel, from what people have found in the Lil' Cactus rewards (datamining, ho!):

msg_sys_cmn_cactus028_DefaultText More items available and resetting Training Points half-off at the Night Market
