Isometric is a bit more specific of a term i guess. At any rate, my only gripe with the new view is I wish it zoomed out a little more. I dont think it needs to be like the old game, as they were kind enough to finally release that one in the states for us. I can just go play that one.
btw, i am not saying / asking to change this game to be isometric perspective only. Wouldn't be nice to add isometric (3/4, 2.5D) perspective on this game right?
even that trash Secret of Mana Remake port had it....
...cause the current 3D models look unpolished as a whole. The character I'm using (Thief) doesn't seem to blend well with the environment either (lack of shadows maybe?). Regardless, the current direction is not a good fit.
This game makes me want to play the original again.
then again they might only be working with a skeleton crew right now....
For sure! Check out the camera settings. It's not the top down some people want, but it is far more enjoyable for me with it on max zoom than on its default setting.
