My take on Back 4 Blood, ...it sucks!

If you are going to be making your pre-purchase decision of L4D hype and hoping with excitement for a L4D3. You will be severely disappointed.

And ...you are heavily disillusioned if you think that you are getting “gameplay,” “game-flow,” or a game-loop similar, or better than previous franchise, you are in for a very harsh awaking.

Back 4 Blood plays nothing like Left 4 Dead, or Left 4 Dead 2.

First, the stamina limitations in Back 4 Blood, utterly breaks game-flow, because your stamina is used for running and melee, you can’t do both.

Imagine taking the stamina system out of (Dead Island) and adding it into a Left 4 Dead game. That is what Back 4 Blood has done. L4D is a quick on your feet arcade-fps experience, and B4B turns it into a dull and slow, rusty-swamp, it just does not work.

Remember the butter-cream-smooth MELEE, with huge splatter impacts. It’s GONE in Back 4 Blood, the melee kills have ZERO, Nada, no MEATY sound IMPACT with infused splatter sounds.

Another point in the melee system, normally in L4D & 2. Your secondary button had a push back ability together with your melee hit. This is not the case in, B2B. You only get a soft slap, which does nothing to the Ridden.

Yes, you did read it correctly, there are no ZOMBIES in Back 4 Blood, THEY ARE RIDDEN! Let that sink in for moment. You are playing a “L4D clone” where the actual zombies, ARE NOT CALLED zombies.

Talk about major fail, just on that point alone!

So how is the gore in Back 4 Blood, you ask? ...well, ever heard of "La Tomatina", it's a RED TOMATO THROWING FESTIVAL, the kind you see on Spanish TV. It looks just like that in Back 4 blood, utter rubbish. The red colour ketchup is thrown all around, for the sake of red, Red …ReED, JUST PAINT IT ALLLL REEEED, MORE REEEEEED!

Do not get me started on the poor animations, substandard dismemberments (where most hits're not registered on models), and low quality audio. It’s just not on par with L4D.

Do you want the raw truth?

The amount of development time and money spent on the (Card system) should have been allocated to develop something all players would have wanted, a (Co-Op Versus).

Nobody asked for a “Star Wars Battlefield Card-System” in a Zombie FPS, especially one that is mimicking the Left 4 Dead Franchise.

All that L4D gamers really wanted was a (Co-Op Versus), and a (New Single player Campaign).

If you ask us, we want quality, not quantity. Left 4 Dead 2 has fewer special Zombies, and even fewer weapons, but they feel good to use and play. Back 4 Blood has more of everything, doesn’t mean its better. Less is more if done right.

And Back 4 Blood has a long way to go before it’s worth 60 dollars, no way is it worth 100 dollars. At this point it’s a 30-dollar game. Want me to be generous, MAX 45-dollar game, and that’s stretching it.

I wont mention all the shady stuff, with DLC, Micro or season pass, and skins being thrown at the player, before the game is even out.

Back 4 Blood, need to be in the oven for another year of development, minimum. If you buy it on the October release date, you will be disappointed on how lacklustre it will be.

Swarm is extremely bad, the gameplay loop is boring, and having to wait every round for the cleaners to scavenge really sucks, waiting more sometimes than playing.
Little room for tactics, cleaners just find the best cheeese spots, can't go after people left behind, because the circle forces them together.
Eventually when the circle closes, it just comes down to throwing yourself at them all the time.
Worst of all, it's not memorable at all.
Of my 10 hours playtime, several hours in swarm, I had no memborable moments.

They promised features, took pre-orders on those promises then cut content to save development time/money and still insist on charging full price

Didn’t Rock Studios, state that "Back4Money" single player/co-op campaign & multiplayer, will always be online, or am I wrong here?

If that is the case, why don’t they add (( low priority )) for griefing, rage quitters, toxicity, racist players?

I’m sure that would solve all majority of the issues, and you can bring back PVP campaign.

Eh, the price tag sold me on not buying this title anyway. $80 deluxe pre-order? Like, for real? I can get any number of triple-A titles for $60 that aren't self-admitted clones of older games.

If they're after nostalgia, this ain't it. Won't pay damn near $100 for a title that might possibly maybe live up to a game I enjoyed back in 2010 ffs. Swing and a miss, devs.

Cards are drawn in order of your deck there is no randomness to it. You literally build the deck around what cards will be available when.

I know they're pushing BS season passes, but I'm wondering with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ card system and outfits in the game right now if loot boxes will soon be introduced after the reviews are out.
