how to upgrade yggr?

this is a bit annoying as i cant upgrade most things even thow i have more then enougth veri. the hell do i do?

If you are talking about Upgrades in village they require some Roots healed to unlock. Plus you can build only 1 building per death so its easy to get more veri than you'll be able to spend at least early on.
Yggr itself, tree face in pits entrance where Giftz are recieved, gives penalties in exchange for better veri score and upgrades as you make runs with modifyers it gives if i understand it correctly.

no i mean yggr it self.
i have all the buildings and 165 roots but most of the upgrades i could buy now say they need yggr to be level 3

Think you need to activate aditional challanges and go deep enough with them activated. On platform you land when starting, right before equipping Giftz, theres small well/bowl glowing blue. Use it to commune with Yggr and pick debuffs for better Veri score in the end. I dont know how many levels must be cleared and how hard you should make it but on long runs with 60-100% veri boost i usually leveled Yggr. When i died early several runs in a row without healing any roots Yggr got locked (glowing red) and well/starting elevators were unavailable till i got good run with no hinders.
