I got it figured out with the Fearless Cheat engine threads..
Saves are in *useename*\appdata\locallow\darkcrystalgames\encased; check the settings in your explorer, maybe the folder is set to hidden.
I know this question is a couple years old. But if anyone is looking to do this still you still can as of today 9/29/22 - In your steam library right click the game go to properties, in the launch options put the following WITHOUT QUOTES "--console"
Then use the typical key as with most consoles for most games which is the TILDE KEY ~ Next to the 1 button.
Then type -
"Cheats.MaxOut()" <--- EXACTLY like that MINUS THE QUOTES. That is the best way to max your character out, first of all it is shorter and easier to type than the longer cheat. Secondly it actually maxes you out. The longer cheat only adds a modifier "on top of your original number" so you can't use it to get perks, because the computer will think you don't have enough "permanent minimum" of that attribute.
