Hilarious! Pathetic & true as well... as to your question re: having to start over. If you hit esc and check the Game settings about half way down there is a tab for Difficulty that will let you change on the fly.

Thanks didn't notice it the first time!
You right-click on the game exe file (should be Encased.exe) and select Create Shortcut. Right-click the shortcut and where the file location is shown, put quotes around it, leave a space and then add --console after which you then use that shortcut to access the game. The end result should look something like this: "C:\Encased\Encased.exe" --console
You might not need to add the quotes, but a lot of folks need to to get Windows to accept it. Then in game just tap the ~ to access.
