Why my ap is so bad in general?
So, I've been playing for a while now (probably around 20hs) and I noticed that my character sucks in combat regarding the AP, I can use my gun 1 time and move like 2 squares and that's it while all my companions can do so much stuff, 3 guns attacks and move around, use special attacks, etc.
This is my character, and for example katarzyna has very similar stats and she is better overall..
my character:

musc 6
perc 6
guts 6
char 9
brain 10
deft 6
fortune2
psyc 1

I'm playing on classic difficulty and don't have any issues really but it's annoying to have my main character just sucking in combat because he basically can perform 1 action and not move around...
Even if I use relics for adding 1 ap it kinda sucks and I shouldn't rely on relics.
I tried using cheats to modify my stats (maybe to kinda "re-roll" them) but it doesn't work since you dont actually modify them but add or subtract them in a weird way.

What do you recommend me to do?
Thanks!

Base AP calculation 7+(((Deftness - 6) + (Fortune - 6))/2)
Neither the Deftness nor Fortune calculation can end up negative. But your 6 deft 2 fortune build means you get absolutely nothing from stats.

There's some ways to buff deftness, such as criminal 150 skill, there's a relic that gives +2 deftness -4 fortune, etc. Every 2 points into deftness will get you 1 AP(since you're currently at 6). Brass Apple is another 1 AP. Plot Armor is 1 AP. Intensive Training perk is 1 AP, "The Voice" perk is 3 AP(with a drawback that can be avoided with high resilience, which you can get with Badass and Against All Odds).

Using cheats to modify stats should work for the purpose of AP. You can even modify the AP stats directly:
Avatar.ActionPointsController.MaxAP =
Avatar.ActionPointsController.AvailableAP =
Avatar.ActionPointsController.CombatStartAP =
Avatar.ActionPointsController.CurrentNonSavedAP =
Avatar.ActionPointsController.PerTurnSaveAP =
Avatar.ActionPointsController.RestoreAP =
Avatar.ActionPointsController.SavedAP =

Both your deft and fortune are low. Deft gives the highest bonus to AP. There is a perk later that gives you 1 AP. If you are using guns you don´t need that much muscle imho.

When I created my character i had no idea about AP calculation really, I would have given my character less charisma and muscle and more deft and luck probably, charisma is kinda a waste really.

I really dont want to just edit my AP since that's cheating, I would love to edit my stats (without interfering with my actual perks)
but i have no idea why it doesn't work as intended

I use Avatar.PrimaryAttributes.Perception =
for example

same as with editing stats, it doesn't actually modify the action points rather that adds them as a modifier which doesn't work in the same way, i dont know why but it sucks doing it like that :(

I haven't really paid to much attention or used them but isn't there some drug and food items that can raise both deftness and fortune? What about buffs like being fired up doesn't that raise your AP. I guess I built ok as I haven't had a problem with AP during combat but it seemed there was in game temporary items to get around shortcomings like low deftness or fortune.
