How do I get a rope?

On "We are family" I need a rope to take the people out of the well. Yet,I can't find any recipe for crafting nor I saw any rope on the crafting benches

Bought some at "Pique-Nique Station" (playing in french).

Some vendors sell it, if you see the rope - buy it. Quite rarely met in my playthrough.

I was just having the same issue. For future reference, there is one rope right in this map. Close to the entrance there is a campsite with 2 dead blue wingers. Behind the tent there is secret tool box lying on the rocks (you need perception check to spot it) and there is a rope in it :)
