Awesome Psionic Character Build and Start Guide
So I played through all the content available as a silver tongued coated hero, explored the entire map, opened every crate, looted every locker, spoke to every NPC, completed every quest I could, and killed every monster I could find. So at the prime level of 10 I decided to hang up my characters hat and start fresh with a new character. I spent some time looking over the stats and cross referencing the abilities with the skills and the bonuses at character creation. I realized the potential for a really wicked build and I wanted to go kind of opposite of my first build but I really liked having companions as much as a pain in the ♥♥♥ they were while exploring so I decided to pursue a charismatic career in white coat psionics.

Thus white coat Dr. Mobius Thetcher it was with stats of 1 strength, 1 guts, 10 brains, 1 luck, 9 perception, 10 charisma, 5 daftness, 9 psyche. My Skills tags went into leadership, psionics and science. I picked up improved scanning, smarty pants, and lock picking, capacious, conviction, microwave and electric shock, and psy-static, confusion, terror and shock. I ran through the start up kind of haphazardly until I leveled and realized that instead of the mere 13 skill points I had previously received on my first character I was now receiving 25 skill points and receiving more experience for each task. I poured my skill into psionics and science/tech/and some criminal trying to get to 50 while leaving my high tech at 50. Once I started the first mission prequel I killed everything that moved, searched every container, and picked/hacked everything I could find. Combat was incredibly easy most of the time using stasis, panic, and confusion between shocks for crowd control. The Picnic area required a lot and I mean a lot of save scumming. I decided to do combat and I spent about 3-4 hours in order to win that fight. Everything else was an immediate win or a single reload. I made everyone happy in Picnic restored the turret, killed the swamp monster in the basement and the rats and the gangsters, then threw a party for everyone and scanned the turret and the rocks before mounting the hood apple myself and proceeded to nashville. Again performed combat on roaches and rats but missed a big chance to get a lot of xp by not attacking the turrets and dancing back and forth behind cover. This would have given me a couple thousand xp. Once inside nashville however I was upset I still couldn't recruit the orange so I just wasted him and then decided I was going to go on a rampage ripping apart everything dead or alive. Killed everything but Louise and Steele until I got to the orb and realized there were about 60 or so orange guys just standing around and each of them gives 84 exp.... so year. I used the orb to provide 3 way cover and feed the zombies into psionics like a conveyor belt into a shredder. By the time I was done I was level 5 and only 3k exp from level 6 which I probably could have gotten if I had hit those turrets and helped Morty at the start of the game. I then went back to Steele and Louise and after looking through my notes from my previous game didn't see either of them as essential so I offed both of them as well. Steele carries two level 2 psionic gloves and wearing both of them boosts my psionics up to level 155. 8) Now we are talking.

Entering the orb I have 48 criminal, 40 speech, 50 high tech, 60 medicine, 75 science and 30 survival and 155 psionics, I'll be able to recruit all three companions and I'm just starting the game. I think I just realized how to make this game fun.

Crazy builds like this one are what inspiring us to make complex skill and combat systems. Third content patch should be a blast for you :steamhappy:

Hmm I am not sure. I know there was a bug the caused additional points to be added going back and forth between menus that I think was fixed by the team.

I realised after finishing my character, that the wing bonus is added later. That should be changed. I started with 11 brains :D

Whether I sound like it or not when you read this, I am looking forward to it. I just tend to go into ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mode every so often. As I have said before, take all the time you need. having something like the second patch where we got durability loss on weapons with no repair ability was... a poor oversight.
