Secret Relic in Concord Station?
So, this is DRIVING ME NUTS... one of the guides I read mention that there's a decently-powerful Relic you can find in Concord Station right at the start, if you have 8 or more Perception. But IT DOESN'T SAY WHERE! I'm about ready to leave Concord Station, but I've only found two Relics, and they're both utter trash. +5 Encumbrance and +3 Evasion/-1 Saved AP, respectively. So wherever and whatever this thing that requires 8 Perception to get is, I clearly still haven't found it. And this game is so obscure, I can't find any proper walkthroughs, wikis or whatever for it...

Can anyone help me? Or was that guide just blowing hot air?

Its been months and I am not sure if that is the relic the guide talks about but there IS a POWERFUL RELIC to be found in the prologue at Concord:
1) You need 60 survival to take out a battery out of Hog in the last garage before leaving.
2) You need to insert the battery into Hog outside Concord and drive it away.
3) Under where the Hog was there is a secret briefcase that you can lockpick for "Fluff" Relic that gives +40 Encumbrance / -1 Muscle.

You can savescum flowerpots - loot is random each reaload, and they drop relics for reasons i don't understand.

Umm... okay? That's... good to know, I suppose, though I don't know what these 'flowerpots' are and it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the question I asked... >_>;

Point is there is no secret relic, flowerpot is a container that has random loot and low chance of having a relic or drugs, press alt indoors and you'll see plenty.

So Mechamorph's guide is lying, then? Because you certainly don't need 8 Perception to see the flowerpots...

Prologue is not only Concord but Nashville as well, maybe he's talking about Triskele

So for a more clear guide here you go folks. So on the first floor, you get to after the whole elevator crash thing. You will hear footsteps I guess if your perception is high enough so what you need to do is enter sneak mode. Then approach the vent you are hearing "quiet footsteps". I only tried the sneak option and got the relic piece. On that same floor, I believe in the safe is the other relic. Then down in the residential area near the auto-doc or whatever that broken toilet.

To assemble the relic press J, i didn't know about this crafting menu 20+ hours into the game lul.

Ah, that may indeed be the case! I just automatically read 'Prologue' as 'Concord Station'. Nashville feels more like 'Level 1'. But if he considered Nashville to be part of the Prologue, then yeah, he's probably referring to the Triskellion, since you need a high perception to find the part hidden in the vents. And I already found that one, I should mention, having finally decided to move on from Concord...

Well, there's a lesson to be had, there, about clarity in writing. Don't be a Fermat, guide-writers! :P You don't even have the excuse of limited space in the margins...

Huh! Well, that is interesting - I certainly didn't find that. I wonder if the maddeningly-unspecific guide was referring to that or the three-part one from a bit later. Either way, I'mma make sure I grab that one during my next run! :happychappy:

Actually another very strong relic (possibly random) that you can get from event by waiting on the landing platform:
Golden "Panacea": +25hp every combat turn / -1 attributes. Combat immortality :)

I found this one on a build with Fortune 10. Prior to that, I had been tinkering around with a build with Fortune 8 and even though the event could trigger, I only ever found 100 combonds or a beer bottle.
Fortune reportedly has a number of positive effects on events like these, so it's possible that Fortune 9+ is a requirement to find this relic.

As a side note to anyone interested, you don't even need to get the battery out of the Hog.

You can find a High Capacity Battery(?) in the Pile of Equipment (I think it's called?) in the unfinished Terminal 3(?) area. You might need to save-scum to get it and I think you have to be at least level 2 for it to appear in the loot pool, but doing it this way means you can get the 'secret' active Fluff relic without spending excess SP on 60 Survival for dismantling.

Sounds good! Though you don't need hard-invest into 60 Survival, you can probably get there with a magazine and some drugs. (Though if you have high fortune, Survival 120 is still one of best skills to rush for that double Lucky Drop chance, you find lot of gold-tier items)

the first relic worth picking up is the trixel (initiative+3, max ap +3 and ap +3) at Nashville station,
which consists of three parts, the first in the safe, the second from the goblins in the ventilation and the third on the 2nd floor
and after that they need to be connected through the crafting window (do not forget to scan each part and the relic as a whole)

People either throwing away the relics thinking they're garbage or people putting them in there as a drop location to move them to less reputable sources is likely the "lore reason" behind it but in reality it was just left as a "% chance to spawn in X location" meaning it can be in some really unrealistic flower pots for this situation, like in the office of the psychic trainer guy... XD
