Is there a time limit?
Is there a time limit? Like in fallout 1
Do some quests have limited time to complete?

There's one time limit in first station (I'm playing in Russian, so I don't know its English name, maybe "Union" or something).
You'll get an achievement if not left the station within 24h (see for yourself, just save before waiting in bed first). And don't die from starving in a process, of course.

I have not come upon many uses of 'time' in the game in any meaningful way. I have not seen any warnings about any apocalypse if you are too slow. So far one mission forced me to wait a few days to trigger the next step. I have paid no attention to days or time or anything like that and not failed any quests. I have only just finished act 1 so maybe that changes or maybe I just never took 'too long' anywhere.

I think that the answer to your question is 'No' but someone who has completed the game might know better. There is absolutely no countdown timer to failure that I have ever seen in ANY mission in any way. No big DOOM clock to stress you out or anything like that.

I suppose if you want to get really picky you could say that there are some scripted fights that failing to finish in time could have untoward results (Sparrow and the caravan for one example) but you would really need to be playing quite poorly to fail those.

or your just wandering around, come across Caravan, and decide to let them fight it out because your not sure whats going on. They all die and now Sparrow wont talk to you.

Yep. If you don't know quite what is going on with that little encounter you can make a dogs breakfast out of it. I didn't think the difference between caravan guards and bandits was as clear as it could have been and maybe totally different colours would have been nice. I know they are different outfits but first time you hit this one it's maybe not so obvious. I had a go-around on it after I just blew everyone away and snuck up on Sparrow and started in on her too. Meh.

The only times mission is in concord. Take your time with the game.

Sorry to necro, but just came across this as well. Sat and watched while confused, bandits(?) killed Sparrow, then they (bandits? survivors?) came after me. Since I'm trying to lone wolf this, I've decided I don't care. Now I'm off to kill the survivors.
