Vent Relic in Nashville gone?

I just started a new save since the recent patch and it seems the quiet footsteps to find the vent relic in the Nashville reception area aren't triggering. Are there stat requirements, or dialog triggers that I might have missed? I've gone through all vents, found the safe relic, the residential relic, went back to the vents on level 1 and still no footsteps.

I found it in my run. Not sure if I did anything specific to trigger it though. There 4 vents you need to be checking iirc, its easy to miss one of them.

for me i found and looked/clicked in all the vents first then walked around and got the you hear something in the vents then snuck around to each vent

Just got it about half an hour ago so it is possible to get. That doesn't mean your game isn't bugged through, so I don't know. The only vents you need to worry about at the ones on the "Hall" floor (first level). Make sure you step right up to every vent you see on the first level so that the "secret" is revealed for each one maybe?

I've tried reloading from the very first elevator arrival autosave, walking around for half an hour and staring at the vents with intense desire for that relic piece! Still no footsteps. I don't know if I have to load an even earlier save or what. I'm hoping anybody else has experienced this.

You are actually clicking on the vents and seeing the dialogue about the yellow slime yes?

You have to follow all of the little icon speech bubble prompts to click on each vent in order and eventually you will be presented with some options to try to catch whatever is rattling around in the vent, then it will give you the artifact.

I've verified game files, yes. I'm actually clicking on the vents to see about the yellow slime, and there were no speed bubble prompts to begin with. I've been staring at my screen with hawk eyes to not miss them.

Maybe the order of things I did changed, I loaded a save before leaving the gas station and retraced my steps in the parking lot. When stepping up to the elevator, I got the quiet footsteps prompt this time and found the relic in the vent. Thanks all!

if you clicked on all 4 to see the slime try going to the elevator to the next level and see if that triggers it, for me it triggered around that area in the vent near the elevator then went clockwise from there

So I had the same thing that the OP mentions happen to me. Basically I just ran to each vent a second or possibly third time and then the "soft footsteps" message appeared. After that I could do the sequence as expected.
