Yeah that whole doing damage at range bypassing a whole bunch of defences with no ammo really sucks.
they also have a god awful long animation that sucks for stealth attacks, after you hit max criminal its fine you have enough time to leave but before ... barely
Sure but some of the skills are rather useful like being able to teleport a melee fighter who is getting up in your face all the way over there, quite a lot of them do damage over time and are comparable to the skills from other weapon trees.
thats true it has more or less usefull stuff.
its just that psy feels now more like a tool kit which can or should be used for every build.
i just sneak, i never get out of stealth unless to talk to people. so utilities are meh to me.
psy does have very low damage compared to the rest. yes its flexible, but a simple dart gun has everything you need ... namely the first skill is pure damage dot bypassing any damage resistance as well as long as its applied. the relic dart at 120 does ungodly amount of damage and its not like air pellet are are to find or craft.
i started as psy (i have 150) and even at 40 in high energy weapon my dart gun was more efficient by far.
only thing remotely useful i can do right now is sleep dart someone, and leech their fatigue to recover mine while they sleep so i don't have to (sleep)
absolutely none of the 4 types of tier 5 psy gloves remotely do as reliable damage as the t4 dart gun which is sad.
There are four gloves each one has one skill available per tier to use all the skills you'd need to have all the gloves.
Yes just before you have answered i have seen the name of the glove. In german we have a sentence for that: The one who is able to read has clearly an advantage :) Thx you anyway.
The only real thing Psi has going for it is bypassing most armor without using ammo. Which, to be fair, is itself a great reason to go psionic. But holy crap, being limited to one type of power for huge chunks of the game is kinda of lame.
