Roadside picnic - Anomaly Protector?

I'm a bit stuck at this location ;)

Before patch 4, the Brass Apple relic was enough to repair the vehicle and continue onto the next location, but it doesn't seem to be the case anymore.
- in the "Main Quest", I read "Melville says there is a device called Anomaly Protector in the basement of the gas station, and he gave you the key to the basement door".
- in "My Story" however, I read "Aaron said that sometimes you can find relics at a gas station, which create a special field around themselves that removes the effect of the anomaly. From these relics, Melville makes special devices called 'Anomaly Protectors'. One of them lies in the basement of the gas station".

So I suppose the text in "Main Quest" is not accurate, and indeed there is no such thing in the gas station basement. The "My Story" part is not clear, "One of them" what? relics or Anomaly Protectors? Again, there is only a relic in the basement, unless there should be something else that is missing.

In any case, getting the Brass Apple relic and talking to Clara Morgan does not solve the vehicle problem as before, and talking to Aaron Melville leads nowhere either. (I didn't go down the "picnic" line, I'd rather not...)

Any help?

I think the thingy you need is in a box next to the tree. They let you keep the apple this time around. You might also be able to craft it.

That's silly but I missed that box, even though I went there a few times and I check every other container in that basement ;)

It's shown as an Anomaly "Projector", little typo there.

I may have reported a few of those in the game, but I guess that every time, there's a screenshot and system data coming along. Perhaps I'll write them down and put what I found in a thread here instead?
