Thoughts about Zenos Yae Galvus (Spoilers for FFXIV)
Edit: After purchasing his starter pack and playing around with him until he reached level 10, I feel like he's got a pretty decent skillset. It took some time to get the hang of his EX skill's usage. His EX skill gauge fills up almost instantly after landing a Bravery combo on an enemy, and then you can hold the button for the unique EX skill to decide between three different swords, which have their own unique EX attacks, and they change his dash attack type as well. He's slow, only has two combos on both land and air, the forward attack combo and the neutral combo. Both are a bit slow to start and very telegraphed, but still cool and hit heavy when they land. His HP attacks are interesting, and most of them require charging.

Pretty solid specialist, all things considered.


Anyone else slightly disappointed he's not wearing his helmet? He's good lookin' and all but I kinda wish he had his intimidating helmet.


And a part of me is also salty that we didn't get Gaius van Baelsar instead as a DLC character. He's so damn cool. He's voiced by freaking Ansem for Gods sake. And his DLC costumes could be his new appearance in Shadowbringers (note, I have no idea if his weapon or fighting style changes in that update, but its still a thought.)

Yeah lol he still looks as much a fuccboi without his helmet as he does in XIV, and it's offputting.

Zenos' 2nd outfit is going to be his appearance in shadowbringers so there's that to look forward to tho.

They said his second outfit won't be revealed for a while due to spoilers

Sweet, then there's a huge chance its the Shadowbringers outfit... alright, I can make peace with not getting Gaius now. Just gotta... wait till Zenos' becomes available for me to play in the next rotation so I can try him out and see if he's worth getting permanently.

lol, i'm sorry but your reaction got me a chuckling a little.

but yeah, only base game characters are rotation candidates.

That's really unfortunate, now I won't be able to test him out and get a feel for him. If I wanna play him, I'll HAVE to buy his starter pack then... shoot.

I was saving my Steam money for Ardyn if he ever ends up a playable character but oh well.
