And any buffs you use as one character that are normally aoe just work on your entire team and assists and characters you are not using currently don't lose the buff as fast so the current support characters can stay relevant.
In fact having a tag team system whit assists would offset the fact characters have around 8 bravery atacks and only one HP atack.
Because you would pick a tag team that compliments one another for specific situations.
Like have one Zoner One Agresive preasure character and like another character that has good asists.
I imagine all homing projectile characters would make good assists.
Actually........i play marksmen in 1v1 battles all the time. And I usually win
Since the game is so simplified compared to the psp titles, most classes are pretty easy to master and marksmen can be played at close range despite what i see people do online in ranked (actively running away from the opponent to throw projectiles from afar instead of keeping them at a safe distance with projectiles)
But it died here almost immediately.....soooooo.......
The game isn't dead though, it's never been dead. They wouldn't keep supporting a dead game, a least think about it.

You arleady have a 2 v 2 story mode mission. Custom battles should be flexible in regards to player numbers.
1v1 , 2v2 and 3v3
Also several rulesets should be added for ex: sumons allowed y\n.
Disable ai partners and you can run any format 1v1, 2v2, 3v1, 1v2 ect.
People said the same thing about DragonBall Fighterz and now you can select 1v1 or 1v2 and guess what!!!! IT WORKS FINE!!!
Giving your players options never hurt anyone.
I said this earlier but it seems people want 1v1 or 2v2 ranked which is very unlikely.
This is team based fighting game. Get over it.
