Can't play offline mode without internet?

I'm gonna be away where internet is poor but would love to play this game. I tried launching steam's offline mode & then this game but was unable to play this game's offline mode. Hopefully, in the future, we could play/access this game's offline mode through the main menu.

yes just turn off your internet, so it wont connect to internet

Yes, I understand what you guys mean, which is connecting to internet then go to the game's offline mode and then disconnect the internet.
What I was trying to say is launching/starting the steam and the game with no internet.

yes thats what i meant, just open steam when you are offline, and then window will pop up and choose open steam in offline mode. then open dissidia nt

You can play offline if you own 1 character. If you do not own any characters and just live off of weekly rotation, You technically have no characters to pick when playing offline. I suggest you buy 1 character and enjoy your content offline when at home/work
