It is weird that there is no tracker for beatiary or chests since they made an achievement for it with how many chests/enemies there are. I didn't find any mods for it either. Since it came out on the switch a lot of the support was for the switch port using a different editor.
It's not wierd, considering it was developed as a Switch game which didn't have achievements. Hopefully the sequal launching on both PC and PS will jabe something.
Mods for the game in general? There's a bunch https://www.nexusmods.com/octopathtraveler/mods/
For this specific issue....yeah there's no real way of doing that I don't think.
What 'support using a different editor' are you talking about?
We are talking about sifting through the entire list manually and seeing which ones are needed. So it wasn't as simple as just finding the ones that didn't have a weakness done. Other issue is that 1/2 the entries in there were NPC fights that don't count towards it. Though you can just exclude any past a certain number as all the NPC ids are after enemies.
But I digress just stating you can hex edit doesn't help me pinpoint which one I missed. I haven't found a post or someone that figured out a good way to filter this. If you have I am all ears. I tried for several days using 010 to sift through it and didn't come up with a good way.(all my progress was on my old computer so can't reference it directly atm)
For your specific cicumstances yeah that's annoying. But I have a solution that MIGHT work if you just want the achievement: Try downloading this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/octopathtraveler/mods/5 and then going and hitting the weakness of an enemy that normally has a single weakness )Reptalios for instance, always the first encounter in Northreach area -- weakness in the mod I believe is staff). I'm actually curious to know if this triggers the achivement or not.
