However, if you take off all the armor before you use the nut, you'll see that, of course, it raises it.
The way it actually works is that your character has a separate set of 'extra' stats given by nuts. So when you use that nut, it'll add 36/37 (not sure which) points in a separate area of the save file.
So you could use the nut on her and give her worse armor, or give it to someone else and keep her with the 999 as it is.
