Hard Diffiulty Option Mod released!

-Enemy HP Values are multiplied by 1.35
-Other stats are multiplied by 1.25
-All starting shields increased by 1
-All number of weaknesses reduced by 1

Install manually or using Vortex.

Nice that a mod has been released.

Not something I'd ever want to use for the game. I personally found the bosses had too much HP as it is.

The game is funny. If you play it try to hammer out damage 'normally' you will drag the battles out because you can't get enough damage output. But when you stack ont he buffs and debuffs correctly the damage curve can go up insanely, to the point that you can almost one shot a couple of the optional job bosses in less than four hours after starting a new game.

Nice, not sure this would change that much the experience of the game because of how you can cheese the game. But it's pretty nice to see people having discovered how to change all those. On my side I think what would be the most interesting feature from a mod would be a save point inside Galdera room. I've seen somewhere also that a randomizer tool exist which could probably be fun to try if you're racing against someone else like we see in Super Metroid randomized run.

Yeah the save point is possible, but it's a bit janky -- you can't actually leave so such a mod also needs to allow fast travel out of that room (which as far as my tests works fine). We actually came up with an implementation but never followed up on it. Part of the problem IIRC was being unable to replace the sprite correctly.

Well to me the reason I would like a save point there is if I try a low level run. I would probably use similar tactic that I did in my low level solo run, which is to abuse Bewildering Grace abilty to give you X100 JP but the whole gate of Finis looks to be tedious to do on a low level playthrough, I mean I wouldn't have to score the x100 JP in there, I would already have all my skills but dying against galdera many times and restarting the area from the begining looks tedious as I expect to need many try to figure out how to do this.

I looked into it but it was someone else who did the heavy work on what values to change. I could probably do it with some work (and looking back on our conversation).

there's no rush anyway, i'm starting Bravely Default 2 today and I don't know when i'll come back to Octopath if I do. But that's the thing I would care the most, that and the randomizer tool which could be fun...

Well the hard mord should be fully compatible with both randomizes (there are two, one does bosses and the other jobs/skills and items).
