Major Glitch

In the Quest, "The Wayward Son," I have brought the stern knight to the miserable mother, but the quest won't complete. She just doesn't recognize that he is in my party. I am unable to complete this quest because of this glitch. Anyone else experience this and have you ever found a workaround?

I've for sure completed the quest as have many others. You sure you're talking to the right person?

If so, try releasing the Stern Knight and guide/alluring him again.

Thanks for your feedback! This is also surprising to me since I can't find anyone else online describing the glitch i'm getting. I've tried guide/alluring the knight over again 3 times now. Tried resetting the area. Tried provoking the knight, then going back and alluring him again. It's the Stern Knight which I bring to the Miserable Mother. I'm certain because they both mention being lilly-livered lol. I've also verified I'm talking to the right NPCs by checking videos and pictures online. Sucks because this is the only quest I have left in the game! :(
