Cyrus as Warmaster: decent Spellcaster?
Anyone tried Cyrus as Warmaster, and give him 6 weapons that improve various elements or Element Atk?

He'd be a very strong and flexible spellcaster.

You can then give the Sorcerer class to someone else. Two spellcasters in a party is quite useful, plus you can Cyrus use Alephan's on the Sorc for max damage.

Think of this party:

- Cyrus, Warmaster
- Therion, Sorcerer
- Tressa, Runemaster
- Alfyn, Starseer

Seems rather strong to me.

Except for Runemaster, spells always use your higest Element Attack weapons, so it is uncessary to give him weapons with Element Attack (except one, which if will be a staff).

I'm not convinced by Therion as Sorcerer... to be honest i'm even not coninced by Therion... but if you want to play him why not.

I think i would go with Cyrus as Sorcerer : you will take advantage of his high Elem. Attack. And Therion with Warmaster for his speed. I'm more inclined to push advantages of a character further instead of trying to reduce his/her weaknesses.

H'aanit or Olberic are generally best suited as Warmasters as they're nearly identical in the stats that matter for the job (I'd give the edge to H'aanit for having a little more utility in the Hunter kit and 'slightly' more damage potential due to a higher Critical stat) but late-game, pretty much anyone can do a passable job in that role.

I wouldn't expect to do much casting if you give the job to Cyrus though - if you take Warmaster, you're probably going to be using passives and equipment that boost physical damage rather than elemental and in 99% of fights that you get into, your divine ability will get the job done regardless of whatever else is in your kit so the kind of flexibility you're trying to get out of one character isn't likely to do much actual good (especially if you also have a Sorcerer in the group).

And sure, Cyrus could burn 3 BP to use the Scholar divine on your Sorcerer but there aren't many situations where it wouldn't make more sense to just use Winnehild's War Cry to speed up or finish the fight instead. Let a Cleric divine-boost the Sorc if needed. The Starseer has great passive abilities but not many good active ones (some of the buffs sound neat on paper but it's very rare that you'll actually have time to take advantage of them before better jobs are breaking a target or finishing the fight) so you could probably use another job in that slot.

Late-game, Therion is one of the best choices as a Sorcerer and Cyrus, ironically, one of the worst. Therion has the key advantage of being able to double-stack elemental damage bonuses (Fire, in his case) due to having a sword and dagger slot available so he always has an element that can deal +60% damage before weaknesses get involved. He also has the speed to act first in the vast majority of fights and when you're grinding in the late-game, consistently getting the first action speeds things up significantly.

Cyrus doesn't have either of those benefits and since the Sorcerer is basically just a better Scholar kit-wise, his Scholar job is almost completely redundant (the Thief kit might not be amazing but it does have 'some' added utility). The only thing he's bringing to the table is a bit more Elem. Attack which stops mattering once your characters start closing in on the 999 cap.

I need to see that by myself, for the moment i'm not convinced maybe because you are talking to very late game and i don't get to that point yet but thanks for your analyze.
