Now swap to Primrose, Tressa, Cyrus, Haanit and equip them with the 2x 50% xp and the endgame gear like 400 dmg swords and so on and you can level up really fast because monster on the same level should die in 1-2 rounds with brute force.
After unlocking the divine skill of the hunter class you can for example kill of most enemy groups in one round. Let the dancer buff strength on hunter, merchant buffs 2 boost points on hunter and the hunter finishes the group with the divine skill. Equip speed items on the merchant and dancer to make sure that they go first before the hunter.
Another similiar way is to have a high lvl warrior / hunter and a merchant / cleric. Put 2 low level heroes in there and go into the lvl58 forst in the north. Do the same tactic like mentioned before, boost strength, 2 boost pts and finish them with the divine hunter skill. Your low level heroes will get easily >1000xp after every fight and level up quite fast to 40+.
It wouldn't be as simple as just sharing xp. I suppose you could try to have it be based on a percentage, but the game is balanced around a certain xp curve. You'd have to rebalance that too.
It may be a hassle to do, but rotating the characters really enhances the game. You can think of it as experimenting with different synergies and adding a layer of strategy/challenge. Reframing how you see it is your best option, because chances are nothing is going to be changing.
This reminds me, is it better to keep constantly rotating a few party members, or first play the stories of your main 4 characters, and then create a party of the remaining four and play through their chapters 2-4?
Keeping the other party members up-to-speed isn't as bad as it sounds and it gets easier as you progress in the game. Later on, you'll have access to a bonus of up to 100% exp and jp and jobs that can easily clear high-level random encounters on the first turn, if not the first action.
In my playthroughs, I ran one party that I liked until I finished the first storyline (I recommend Ophelia and then Olberic first if you want all of the boosts I mentioned as soon as possible). Then, I'd sub in one or two new characters, leave the rest of the original group to carry the newbies, and run the next storyline (along with any exploring, job unlocking, etc). Lather rinse, repeat. I usually had one or two characters at the end that were a little higher than the others but they all ended up in roughly the same ballpark without much effort.
I'm not a fan of the strictly separate A-team/B-team approach since a B-team not taking advantage of A-team's progress (abilities, levels, etc) just ends up slowing things down. You can do it however you like though - it's not a difficult game and bringing characters to a respectable level in the late-game is easy to do so any approach will get you to the finish line.
But I will say that the game contains a lot of optional side dungeons - completing them allows your whole party to remain at (or above) the suggested level for upcoming story areas. The rewards also remain consistent with that period of the game. If you complete them all with your A team, the B team won't have access to that experience (unless you grind) - also they're going to have endgame gear as soon as they begin.
Also, your path actions gain their strength from your levels. This means having some characters far below the level of others can cut off access to certain abilities. For example, if Cyrus or Alfyn aren't part of your A team, you won't be able to Analyze anyone in the A team's endgame until your B team reaches the endgame. But hey, some may enjoy that handicap.
And as an old school player, I can attest to rarely ever using Twitch. If we want to watch people play video games we do it the old fashion way - break into their house and stand creepily behind them.
Things were better in the old days.
What you're suggesting [mod] is also cheating so I figured you wouldn't mind going about it in a smarter more efficient way. GL.
