Will there be a VR option?

Is it possible, maybe with future updates, to play the game in VR? The graphics style reminds me of Moss wich is a great game, and I would really like being able to switch to VR.

The game is considered complete by the developers and is very unlikely to ever receive any sort of update.

+1 for VR support even if it had no motion controller support. I wouldn’t care. There isn’t a single game like this in VR yet.

The landscape is 3D, only the figures are placed as 2D cardboard cutouts (aka sprites). It would not be much work since the Unreal Engine already has a good VR support, but I doubt that this will ever happen.

Yes, VR for this game. Like ***** said, the landscape is 3D and the engine it's built on is VR-capable.

I agree with this request. In VR this game will be amazing. I was trying to use Vorpx with this game but the profiles don't do the 3D well. I hope that in the future if they do a second part of Octopath traveller they give support to VR. There isn't any good JRPG in VR and a lot of ♥♥♥♥ shooters.

Hello!! I have great news!! I discovered a free software that make the 3D very well without glitches that works for Octopath Traveller much better than Vorpx.
You need to use "Reshade" software and another program called "Depth3D VR companion".
There are a good tutorial in youtube to setup and I was using in Octopath Traveller and is AMAZING!!
I'm very happy and I want to share here for others like me that want to play Octopath Traveller in VR.

Ahh. And when It will be working if you have "Virtual Desktop" you don't need to use the app "VR Companion app Launcher".
You can use Virtual Desktop and start the game with the reshade activated with 3Ddepth VR
and then activate in the config of Virtual Desktop the option of 3D called "Half screen".
Then you can play it in VR with Virtual Desktop.

I use reshade + Bigscreen vr, bigscreen vr lets me sit in a movie theater and play it on that screen in sbs 3d while reshade converts it to a 3d game
