If you have multiple weapons with elemental attack it will only use the one with the most. You can't stack a particular stat across multiple weapons. You always want your weapons to have as much a variety of stats as possible.
Except physical attacks will obviously still use the damage from the weapon you are hitting with.
Example: Primrose is my Dancer/Scholar so having that knife good to me since I would focus on MGK than PHY
The thief ultimate skill scales with how much speed you have and can only be used with a dagger so you want as much speed on that dagger as possible.
in one game your elemental damage gets added to your physical attacks, in the other it only acts as a amplifier for your magical attacks. The game assumes you already know which of these 2 rules it uses.
