Do you not have the "Continue" option selectable? If not, try selecting "Load Game" instead and loading your save. If that doesn't work either, you may have a corrupt save (or a cloud sync issue, if you're using cloud saves.)

I don't see a load game option either but the save shows up in the new game menu

Don't worry, it happened to me as well. I just finished writing a support request to Warner Brothers to see if they could help in any way. I am super super bummed, I had 70 hours already. :( I tried to reinstall the game, repair the files, and backed up the files, and nothing seemed to work.

I worked through the saved game files and found that the meta file was filled with 'Null' characters, not actual data.What worked for us was to overwrite the corrupt 'SAVEGAMEMETA.BLOB', launch the game, play a mission, and then it will update the meta file with the correct information.For other people not already down this rabbit hole, the saved game files are stored in this directory;

C:\Users\'your user name here'\AppData\Roaming\Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment\LEGO Star Wars - The Skywalker Saga\SAVEDGAMES\STEAM\'your steam id here'\'your corrupt save game slot here'.
(If you cannot see AppData when looking in File Explorer, ensure Hidden Items is checked in the view tab of the explorer)

Open both the corrupted and an uncorrupted slot folder, copy the 'SAVEGAMEMETA.BLOB' from the uncorrupted to the corrupted. Launch and you should be good to go.
