Sharing the game
Me and my brother both want to play this game. The description says it supports remote play, but I want to be sure.

If I buy this game, will me and my brother be able to play it separately(meaning not co-op) on different PCs at the same time, provided both PCs are logged in to Steam with my account?

This might be a dumb question, but I’m relatively new to Steam.

Now, it may be shareable via family library, which is a different animal entirely. The restriction there is that if you buy the game, he won't be able to play it if you're playing ANYTHING on your Steam account. It's also a pain to set up and requires that you have logged in Steam on his computer with your credentials, set up the family sharing, and then had him log back in, and he can then access your library of games.

Technically it can be done using family share. If you and your PC own the game, then you can setup family share to your brother and his PC.

Now the part that allows for both of you to play simultaneously at the same time is that your brother and his PC will need to be online (Steam) in order to play your shared game library...but you and your PC play the game through Offline mode (Steam).

You will have access to still play the game locally on your PC while your brother is able to still play his game while being online on his own PC... simultaneously and with separate game saves.

Well, according to steamdb, there actually isn't a family share option, could be that they don't know, could be that it doesn't allow it

You'll have to buy 2 copies

Some of you are giving him conflicting information and/or don't actually know what the tags mean.

Remote Play Together means that you are able to co-op with a friend who does not own the game or vice versa. One of you owns the copy and starts the game and the other is able to join on a separate PC with their own Steam account and play co-op with you. This is basically classic couch co-op, just online. This game also supports traditional split-screen co-op on the same PC.

As for Family Share, I don't see a tag for that. The way that usually works is you can add other Steam Accounts to your Steam Library, sort of like how Netflix works with the Family Connections. The only downside is they can not use your Library at the same time as you unless you go into Offline mode. Again, I don't think this game supports Family Sharing anyway, but that's how it works.

In short, you either need to play together in the same co-op missions where only one of you needs to own a copy, or you need to both buy your own copies if you want to play solo.

Well that’s a bit disappointing. Thanks for all the answers.

You can family share the game with your brother. :)
