APC or Truck?
How would you use APC or Truck when transporting infantry? I like to put all my infantry in APCs, however I feel it reduces their effectiveness n when I unload them I tend to lose track of either the troops or vehicles. Truck on the other hand are squishy but disappear when unloaded. Any reasonable suggestion?

Short answer: use both.
You want your infantry mostly cause they are infantry and can move better in citys and forests.
Therefor you should get them mostly in trucks. In some situations an APC is useful, if you feel like your troops could use the extra firepower call them in inside of one. So my conclusion is kind of take about 80% of your inf inside a truck and maybe 20% in some sort of APC if you feel like they need one.

Trucks disappear to avoid them being used to cheese recon, basically driving unloaded trucks into enemy lines to reveal units. Fast transports in deployment, so they can get to their positions quickly then mainly trucks and a mix of armed transports for a bit of support. I personally never reload infantry back into transports to move them, so it's more for their weapon rather than being able to redeploy.

Armed transport are costlier but have a better survivability rate, people generally only use armed transport if they feel their infantry are a tad too squishy and use the weapon on the transport as support weapon. Non-armed transport meanwhile are generally faster and cost next to nothing, so it really depends on your playstyle and situation at hand not to mention the division you are playing as certain division just lack that armor or armor support thus bringing in a couple of infantry on vehicle with guns on them would be a good idea.

APC's are great to have around, but also consider the speed of the vehicles. If all your Phase A infantry are loaded onto slow vehicles then you will lose ground early. If all Phase B, then it will take longer to reinforce your front line.

The more I play, the more I chose trucks. In SD44 APC were amazing, replacing for some divisions any support weapon.

In SD2 the map are more open and units have more range, so APC are easy targets... And if you go in towns or forests APC are easy targets for units with PTRD and other anti tank guns...

Having a few APC can still be usefull (APC with recon capabilities are often good), but often a light tank will be better for the same job.

The thought had crossed my mind of loading assault troops in APCs with the rest in trucks. I'll have to see how that works out. Thanks👍

Don't forget that APCs are (usually) faster than trucks offroad, although this hardly matters.
Also, if unload wasn't instant, APCs could be somewhat more viable providing protection, but I guess this won't get implemented, same as infantry hopping between buildings remained.
As is, hardly any reason to use these, imo.

Phase A - Trucks, to capture and hold (cuz muh speed)
Phase B,C - APC, to reinforce and provide support (cuz muh machineguns)

I've noticed the same thing. Plus there typically are so many more tanks and AT guns on the field in SD2 compared to 44, which makes APC's easy meat.

halftracks are good if you are really fighting with tanks and infantry, those can suppress fast enemy infantry so tanks are no so easy to counter with infantry, also you can use those as scout against antitanks so put halftrack over corner before tanks and it may spot danger and explode so you may save tank.

but if you are just transporting units truck is usually faster and it does not cost anything, so it is cheaper.

Once you discover the power of phase A PzGrenadiers covered by their transport MG Hanomags you'll never look back..

also one thing i forgot to mention is that half track can hold objective so it is cheapest unit to hold some easy objective where it can hide
