New Orleans Shout glitch

I found a glitch that wasted my entire night because I didn’t want to advance with aftershocks without solving it. I troubleshooted which remarkably is difficult to do via google but I watched other play throughs of the beginning of aftershocks and my “New Orleans Shout” task of “find the entrance to the reserve” never updated despite me going into the armory and getting all the ammo causing the demise of Casey. It’s suppose to be checkmatked as you’re going down the stairs into the reserve. So when I get to the new aftershocks radio guy and have the first mission to go back to Bywater, the New Orleans shout task never completed even after I left on the boat and went back to the resting place after all the events of the game were over before aftershocks. It has everything checked except “find entrance to reserve”. If anyone reading this has encountered this glitch or whatever I am misunderstanding please let me know. I even went back to a previous save and played it to the point where it would’ve been checked off again and it won’t even after going down the stairs and collecting all the ammo and coming back up.

I have a similar one. The "New Orleans Shout" quest is stuck on 'proceed to the church nave'. I took down May but Casey did not talk to me after this. However ringing the bell myself triggered his normal response. After looting the coms room and leaving with the boat Aftershock started normaly. The glitch seem to have no effect on the game execpt for having the objective entry in the journal.

Blayk, I did get the exactly issue as you did, I think is because I hit her with the axe, maybe we should shoot her to don't get this issue, did you melee her or shot her?

I think you could be right, Erebinhos. If I remember correctly I tried to collect the "living" heads from all main characters I had to kill. Since this requiers the head to be chopped off undamaged I guess I at least tried to melee her.

Wow, so maybe we found the problem, but I have no clue how to solve it hahaha

Years later and this just happened to me and yes I killed her with an axe. First time playing. Gg

Someone says it makes no difference, I do have aftershocks, and retribution. Don't know if that matters. Gonna play on with the unchecked box.
