Hiding from the horde after a bell ring
Wouldn't it be cool if the bell ringing wasn't basically the end of the level? Instead giving us an option to hide while the horde moves out of the area. Lets us go inside a closet or under a bed or a car, while they shamble past. Give us a chance to survive if we stay quiet and out of sight.

Then we could resume our scavenging and quests that vanished can be available again. Also, more auto save opportunities please.

I feel like it'd make the game too easy, but maybe at least the initial scramble of zombies running through town could be toned down whereas if the horde is 4x the amount of zombies normally present, then post-wandering away after the initial herd stirring, it could be 2x or 3x

I tried hanging on a bit near the boat and it was pointless. It would be nice to be able to hide until the horde passes, but clearly, the game doesn`t want us to do that, which is sad. But having the horde pass by, then in another 15 or so minutes start again would be better.

I have found that if you use the Walker guts you can wonder about for a good bit once the bell has rung. Quests are still gone, but you can loot till you run out of guts. Which... you'll find more since there are more walkers. It's dangerous... And it's still best to check your back every few seconds... as it seems Spotty. Ocationally a random walker will aggro to you no matter how full your walker guts meter is. And if you attack a walker in sight of other walkers they all become hostile (really blurring the line on their intelligence level here)

I've found this is actually the easiest way to get the Intel drops for May. Just wonder around and loot untill the Bell rings then get the intel once all the NPC's have run off and use the guts to get back to the Skiff. I had no choice but to do this for the 3rd intel drop as there was Zero way to sneak in there. That was just impossible to do any other way.

However... all of this said, I still feel the Alloted time is still WAY to short. It's like 15-20 minutes tops. I have not actually timed it, but it's SUPER short. It was really a problem In the rampart, When i was exploreing the school... I had Barely any time, I had just found Kenneth When the bell rang. And I had Zero time to explore the rest of the map or figure out a way into the Gym.

I'd love to finish reading that sweet, sweet Tom Clanky book I picked up.

Can you only get guts from one specific type of zombie? I've only noticed one zombie I could do it with when doing the first pump near the church.
